Staff Profile:

Dr. Fálẹ́yẹ Adéọlá Adijat is a First Class graduate of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ilé-Ifè, serial award winner of Professors Wande Abimbola and Isaac Delana Departmental awards, with the Best Overall result of the Faculty of Arts for the 1997/98 set. She had her Masters studies in Yorùbá Language and Literatures with a Proceed Grade in 2005, and her Doctorate in Yorùbá Literature in 2015 at the University of Ibadan, Nigeria. An erudite scholar, Dr Fálẹ́yẹ has written and published well researched articles, chapters in books, in both local and foreign outlets. She has nine audio albums to her credit which speak to her competence and verse knowledge in Oral Literature, Creative writing and Performance Studies. These works currently serve as teaching aids to students and researchers alike. She has edited a compendium of Ifá book, served as editor of an international journal, written story books, and also served at different fora as book reviewer. Dr. Adéọlá Fálẹ́yẹ ‘s teaching and research scholarship covers Cultural Semiotics and Sociology of Literature application, Literary and Media, Discourse Analysis, Festivals, Tourism, Translation Studies, Oral Literatures and Performance Studies. She has a great track record in publishing, academic and editorial activities. She served as the Guest Editor of the Yorùbá Studies Review Journal (2022), a reputable publishing outlet based in United State of America. She is a Co-Researcher on two funded research of TETFUND and IFCD UNESCO awarded to a team of scholars at the Osun State University in 2023 and 2024 respectively.
