Staff Profile

I was a member of the Sub-Committee on the Preparation of the new volume of the Yoruba Meta-Language during the 1998 Yoruba Studies Association of Nigeria Annual Conference at the Pastoral Institute, Bodija, Ibadan. In 2008, I was one of the selected thirty participants in West Africa to attend the Summer School on Documentary Linguistics organized and sponsored by the Rausing Endangered Language Project, School of Oriental and African Studies, London. I was also chosen in 2010 by the same academic body for the Intermediate Summer School on Documentary Linguistics held in Ghana. Furthermore, in 2009, I was invited by the University of Education, Ghana to be a visiting Scholar to the Department of Gur-Gonja. While there, I was also an Associate Lecturer at the Department of Applied Linguistics. Through my first Master’s and Ph.D. dissertations, I have contributed a lot to the Yoruba Meta-Language in the area of Syntax by developing and creating many technical terms.
